OpenScout members discuss competence models for management education

On the 5th and 6th of July members of the OpenScout work package about "competence services" will meet at the Open University of the Netherlands to discuss an initial competence model for the domain of business and management education and alternative approaches to enable users of the OpenScout environment to find Open Educational Resources based on competence information. This model will be developed with input from the stakeholder representatives in the consortium being the business schools (EFMD, BRUNEL, INSEAD) and the SMEs (SPK).

 

OpenScout demonstrator @ EC-TEL 2010

OpenScout will present its first prototype at the demo session of EC-TEL 2010 (28 September-1 October 2010, Barcelona, Spain). The demonstrator shows federated, skill-based search for management contents in multiple repositories and displays how users can enrich content metadata.

 

New OpenScout Deliverable on Federated Infrastructure and Application Profile

In June 2010, OpenScout has published the new Deliverable D1.1 Analysis Report on Federated Infrastructure and Application Profile. The Deliverable describes the OpenScout architectural design for searching federated repositories and introduces the first version of the OpenScout application profile that is based upon the LOM standard enhanced with competence metadata.
