OpenScout

OpenScout has published two new deliverables: "D2.1 Analysis Report on Competence Services" and "D6.1 Good Practice Scenario Collection".

Deliverable "D2.1 Analysis Report on Competence Services" describes how a learner searching for open management content can be supported by utilizing competence related information. The deliverable gives a theoretical background of competence based education in general, including a description of several standards for competences. The deliverable reviews existing competence based approaches in the field of business and management education, the domain targeted by OpenScout, and gives an overview of existing competence services offered by other projects and commercial systems. Finally, an initial proposal for the competence based services for the OpenScout environment is proposed.

Deliverable "D6.1 Good Practice Scenario Collection" presents experiences and lessons learned by OpenScout community members in real life, productive, skill-based learning environments in Higher Education (including Business Schools) and Enterprises which are relevant to the OpenScout project. The deliverable derives practice-relevant recommendations to guide and improve design, development, marketing and further aspects of the OpenScout services.
