The OpenScout project featured in the EC-TEL 2011 conference with a demonstration of its current prototype available at learn.openscout.net. The visitors had the opportunity to browse, get familiar with the OpenScout portal, understand its technology and give their feedback.
The audience was basically researchers in the field of technology enhanced learning. They appreciated the efforts done in OpenScout and started interesting discussions, sharing their experiences in similar European projects. OpenScout aims at supporting users in their individual competence development. Learning resources are enriched with competences and levels according to the European Qualification Framework (EQF) and users can search, browse or filter results according to competences. Moreover, OpenScout connects with high quality content providers worldwide to ensure the quality of content. Additionally, OpenScout offers user-driven approaches such as rating, tagging and commenting.
